Science Week in Yr6

In Science Week Yr6 saw a circus clown come into our school!!! He was the best circus that I've ever seen. He did amazing tricks including the worlds hardest trick ever! Should we enlighten you on what the worlds hardest trick is? I thought we should. You balance on a 6 FOOT UNICYCLE and rode it while juggling! I know unbelievable however the thing that made it so good was who he convert it into science.

There were four forces that he told us to think about and those forces were:

Gravity,

Push,

Pull,

Twist

and last but no least is:
Centrifugal force

which is not a real force.

We did plenty of expirement and investgation and sadly now it reach the end of our lovely Science Week.

Cameron and Tenujaa.

Zoetrope

In 6W we have been making zoetropes. A zoetrope is a device that makes animations to a certain picture. Zoetrope comes from Greeks. Zoe means "life " and trope means "turn". The meaning is wheel of life or living wheel. The first one was made in China in a 180AD, the inventor was Ting Huan. The next day everyone kept on spinning them and annoying our teacher!!!!

and trust me there's a whole lot more people.

I wonder what glade is to this Science but now I have no idea, but until then the mystery continues.

Year 6W African Masks

It's Black History Month at Glade!!! In 6W we have been looking at African Masks,so we degined our own. We started in our books then we did a rough draft. After we finished the draft we were allowed to do it on sugar paper. Most of the masks were looking really good so they were finished by Friday, some of them are on the wall they look very good .

Black History Month

THIS MONTH IS BLACK HISTORY MONTH! In our very own school there are going to be black dancers coming into our school to teach us how to do dances that they have learnt linking to their experience of their dancing career.

We are all waiting for this very rare moments of the year! We just can wait! We are expecting the number of dancers to be...just about 3, one girl and two boys.

It is going to be different for each year group.e.g.if year 3 do the same song as year 6,year 6 will obviously do the faster version of the song because we are much older, that is how the rota is going to be for the song selection.

There are only three dancers and there are twelve classes! So we have to do take it in turns other wise some classes will miss out their rare chance, A NOTE FOR PARENTS PLEASE COME AND

SEE US DANCE ON THAT DAY!!!

YEAR 6 SAILING

In year 6 we have going sailing for the past 3 weeks. Firstly we have to get our life jackets and wait for the instructor (it's really boring!!!) The instructor shows us what to do. Last week we put up the small sail (called the jib) But this week we put up the BIG SAIL!! So we could we could go faster!!! Harry's group nearly tiped the boat over, because the rope came out the pulley.

In the end we all got to sail on the black pearl (big boat) unfortunetly the rest got to go on a speed boat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT FAIR !!!

The Future authors Of Yr6!

On Earth there have been lots of sucessful authors such as:
CS.lewis,
Roald Dahl,
Jaqueline Wilson,
Anne Fine,
The one and only Bestselling author JK.Rowling and so many other.

Speaking of JK.Rowling she
written plenty of good books
especially Harry Potter.

In class we have been doing short desciptive writing, which includes a Beginning, Climax and a ending. We did some plans to help us make our stories better and more sophisticated. The stories that we are focusing on are very exciting and ambitious but the story that stands out the most is The Tulip Touch.
